PETRONAS is again offering university level education sponsorship to 2012 SPM candidates in specific areas related to oil and gas industry in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and universities abroad.
Applications are invited from candidates who have excellent academic background in addition to having a proven leadership skills through active participation in co-curricular activities, social services and volunteerism.

Majlis Amanah Rakyat is an agency under Malaysia’s Ministry of Rural and Regional Development. Established on the 1st of March 1966, MARA is responsible for encouraging and facilitating social and economic development in the rural areas. Shell Malaysia Scholarships 2013

Shell Malaysia has opened its “ Shell Malaysia Scholarships 2013“.  Malaysian students planning to pursue full-time undergraduate studies (1st degree course) tenable at recognised universities in Malaysia or Overseas are eligible to apply.
There are 2 categories of scholarships available as follows :
  1. LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS
  2. OVERSEAS SCHOLARSHIPS
SHELL LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS
This is open to students who will be undertaking full time first degree courses at the preferred Malaysian and JPA approved international universities based in Malaysia.
Preferred Degree Discipline
  • Any Oil and Gas field related degrees (Eg. Technical Engineering, logistics and supply chain management etc)
  • Students with physical disabilities (Orang Kurang Upaya) are not restricted in their choice and may apply to do a degree in any discipline.
Eligibility
  • Strong leadership skills and active participation in extracurricular activities such as societies and clubs, sports, etc.
  • Not presently holding other scholarship/loans.
  • Disabled Identification Card certified by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (where applicable)
  • Consistently strong academic achievements as follows:
For Undergraduate studies
  • Strong academic results in the STPM (minimum 3A’s & 1B) or A-Levels (minimum 2A’s & 1B)
  • Minimum of 3.5 CGPA at Matriculation / Diploma level

Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) is the Public Service Department of Malaysia. Its main role is to plan, develop and manage human resources in terms of professionalism, integrity and technology and to ensure Public Service excellence. It basically develops policies, strategies and manages public agencies and human resources.

Scholarships Offered:
Every year up to 2011, JPA has offered both local and overseas scholarships for deserving SPM school leavers. However, an announcement was made in 2011 that scholarships will no longer be given to SPM students, but to pre-university students who wish to continue with their first degree.

Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) Scholarship 2013 | 2014



Bank Negara Malaysia, Malaysia’s central bank was established in 1959 and is a statutory body wholly owned by the Malaysian Government. BNM has several roles, namely conducting monetary policy, stabilising the financial system, developing the infrastructure of the financial system, promoting financial inclusion, issuing currency, managing the country’s reserve and being a banker and adviser to the Malaysian government.

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) Scholarship 2013 | 2014


Tenaga Nasional Berhad is Malaysia’s largest utility company with the core business of generating, transmitting and distributing electricity. Besides its primary business, TNB also has subsidiaries which conduct other activities, namely the manufacturing of transformers, switchgears and cables. TNB also contributes towards local education with University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). Wholly owned by the corporation, UNITEN combines academic programmes and techno skills under one roof.

Yayasan Tenaga Nasional (YTN)
Yayasan Tenaga Nasional is TNB’s trust body, responsible for TNB’s corporate social responsibility efforts. YTN provides scholarships and study loans to deserving students to pursue their education locally and abroad. To date, YTN has provided financial assistance to more than 8,000 students.
Scholarships Offered:
YTN is currently offering 2 scholarships: the Overseas Universities Programme and the Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) Programme. The former gives the opportunity for both SPM and STPM leavers to pursue their education overseas whilst the latter is only offered to SPM leavers to study at UNITEN.
Who should apply:

TNB is looking for applicants who have just received their SPM and STPM results. SPM leavers must not be more than 19 years of age whilst STPM leavers must not be more than 21 years old this year. TNB scholars are students who are active in co-curricular activities and have strong leadership qualities. Those with excellent results are prioritised – TNB only considers students who managed to get all A’s in subjects related to their chosen field of study. 
Outstanding students with good academic and co-curricular track records are welcome to apply. Among the general requirements, applicants:
  • Should not be older than 23 years of age during application
  • Should be active in co-curricular activities
  • Should have good leadership skills and strong personalities
  • Should have no other siblings who are currently receiving scholarship from YTN
  • Should have already been admitted into their first semester at an IPTA
Specific Requirements:
  • At least 4B+ for STPM, or
  • CGPA of at least 3.33 for those who completed their Diploma/ Matriculation/ Foundation

Axiata Young Talent Programme – International Baccalaureate Pre-University Programme

The International Baccalaureate Pre-University Programme sees scholars being enrolled to complete the two-year International Baccalaureate (IB) programme at the International School of Penang (Uplands).
IB is a reputable programme tailored to provide scholars with a rounded education that prepares them for their university careers and lives ahead. We believe that the IB programme can develop young adults to be inquisitive, knowledgeable and caring, thus contributing towards creating a better world, recognising and respecting cultural differences and diversity.
Uplands has a renowned heritage with an international teaching faculty which focuses on quality education alongside extra-curricular activities that cultivate teamwork, confidence and all-roundedness. Students at Uplands have attained a consistent track record for academic results that are higher than the global average.
We will continue to sponsor their Undergraduate Degree Programme provided they are successful in obtaining placements in selected courses outlined by Axiata in the top universities* in the United Kingdom.

Criteria

Application for the Young Talent Programme must be submitted to Axiata Group Berhad by the due date.
  1. The applicant must be a Malaysian citizen or a permanent resident of Malaysia.
  2. The applicant must have achieved a result of at least 8 As in the SPM or equivalent.
  3. The applicant must obtain a grade A in English, Mathematics and Science (including any of the Pure Science subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Biology).
  4. The applicant must be proficient in English, and any other spoken and written languages are favourable.
  5. The applicant must consistently display education excellence, as well as active participation in sports, clubs and societies, and/ or the performing arts.
  6. The offer is subject to terms and conditions in relation to the student’s performance in academic and extra-curricular activities. Successful candidates will be required to attend to further assessment and interviews.

Scholarship Coverage

The Young Talent Programme will cover the full duration of the pre-university course, subject to Axiata Group Berhad’s terms and conditions. The programme’s coverage includes all tuition fees, text books, boarding, travel* and laptops*. A non-curriculum fund will be provided for students to participate in the school based extra-curricular activities.
In addition to the school related fees, Axiata Group Berhad will also bear the full cost of the Ax-Factor initiatives.
